Francis H. Hare Jr. “Of Counsel”
Mr. Hare was in practice for nearly 60 years, and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Virginia, one of the most respected law schools in the nation, in 1959. In his decades of practice, he represented thousands of people who were harmed by defective products and fought to hold accountable the responsible product manufacturers, designers, and retailers whose actions contributed to consumers’ injuries.
He was considered an experienced voice on Alabama product liability law and co-authored several publications and books, including “Confidentiality Orders” (Wiley Law Publications, 1988), “The Preparation of a Products Liability Case, 2nd Edition” (Little Brown and Co., 1992), “Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit, 1st and 2nd Edition” (The Association of Trial Lawyers of America), and “Full Disclosure: Combating Stonewalling and Other Discovery Abuses” (ATLA Press, 1994).
Mr. Hare was an associate law professor at the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University since 1975. He also held positions at the University of Alabama School of Law, the John Sparkman Distinguished Chairholder, Spring 1987, and University of Richmond School of Law as the George F. Allen Distinguished Scholar in Spring 1991.
He sat on the editorial boards for the Journal of Products Liability, American Journal of Trial Advocacy, and Product Liability Newsletter.
