Mr. Barnett has devoted his entire career to representing individuals and families in personal injury and wrongful death matters. Mr. Barnett’s successes include settlements and/or verdicts of at least $1 million or more in cases involving trucking collisions, dog attacks, funeral home and crematory negligence, medical malpractice, premises liability, deck collapses, and automobile collisions.
Mr. Barnett is routinely named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a “Top 40 Under 40” lawyer for the state of Alabama by the National Trial Lawyers, a “Top Attorney” by B-Metro Magazine. In addition to his work in the courtroom, Mr. Barnett advocates for the rights of the injured by serving on the board of directors for the Emerging Leaders caucus for the Alabama Association of Justice.
Mr. Barnett joined the firm in 2014, after initially practicing at a small plaintiff’s personal injury firm after law school. He was named a partner at Belt, Bruner & Barnett, P.C. in 2019. Born and raised in Florence, Alabama, he earned a B.S. in Economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in just three years. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Mr. Barnett and his wife are blessed with two beautiful daughters, and he enjoys spending time with his family when away from the office.
